“This is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end.”
While in Liverpool, England, playing the 100th show of the “Eras Tour,” Taylor Swift had some sad news for fans: The tour will end in December.
Swift’s record-breaking “Eras Tour” kicked off March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, and hit more than 15 cities across the United States. The tour then traveled overseas to Mexico, South America, Asia, Australia and now, Europe.
Swift surprised fans in August 2023 by announcing more U.S. dates in three cities: Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis. Just months later, she extended the tour again with a short Canadian leg tour, stopping in Toronto and Vancouver.
Factoring in the tour’s success and Swift’s penchant for reveals, fans hoped that her June 13 show — the 100th “Eras Tour” concert — might bring news, like a new album, impending rerecording or a tour extension.
Instead, Swift shared that the “Eras Tour” will officially be ending in December 2024.
“This is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December,” she said before singing “All Too Well.”
