The football star’s meeting with the actress at Taylor Swift’s concert got mixed reactions from fans.

Travis Kelce had only kind words to say when it came to Julia Roberts, with the Kansas City Chiefs player calling her “awesome.”

The 34-year-old touched on their meeting at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show while recounting his adventures in Dublin, Ireland to fans on his podcast, New Heights, which he shares with his older brother, Jason Kelce.

Jason brought up the Notting Hill actress, with Travis saying, “I met Julia Roberts in Ireland, in Dublin…That was pretty cool. She was awesome. Her and Stevie Nicks were in there having some fun.”

After Jason asked Travis if he still feels “surprised” while meeting celebrities like Roberts and Nicks, he replied, “Some of these people you meet and you’re just like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing here…I am just a jamoke supporting his girlfriend.'”

Jamoke is a slang term that means “fool” or “idiot.”

But Travis concluded that it was a great time, adding, “It’s just so much fun.”

Travis’ positive comments about Roberts come after some fans had decidedly different opinions on a video of the actress and football player interacting at Eras Tour.

In a clip of their meeting, both were laughing and talking, but some Swifties couldn’t get past the fact that Roberts had her hands on Travis’ chest for a moment, with one wondering, “Why is that lady pawing at Travis?”

Others defended Roberts, citing their age difference and noting that they both seemed happy during the conversation.

Comedian Nikki Glaser and her parents even reacted to the video, with her parents calling Roberts “gross” and later apologizing for their comments. Roberts has made no comment about her visit to the Eras Tour or the reactions to her meeting with Travis.

Along with Roberts and Nicks, Travis also recalled meeting celebrities like Liam Hemsworth, Ashton Kutcher and Hugh Grant at the Europe Eras Tour dates, and there are sure to be more celebrity guests as the tour goes on.
