Patrick Mahomes and his squad are as generous as they come. While people might think that the Chiefs players are a busy bunch, they always seem to find time to meet and greet kids who love football and idolize the Kansas City Chiefs. This story is no different and people like Mahomes, Kelce, Andy Reid and even Harrison Butker are the protagonists of it.
The Kansas City Chiefs squad met a seven-year-old kid and honestly, that interaction might have made his day. This is nothing to Mahomes, though, as he’s the father of two children. There’s a feeling of accomplishment that comes from making a child happy and the seven-year-old spending some time with the men in red might be the start of it.
Ex-NFL Defensive Tackle Paul Grasmanis took to X and reignited an old connection with Andy Reid, who was coaching the Eagles in the early 2000s. Grasmanis cashed in some old favors it looks like. The picture shows Grasmanis, Patrick Mahomes, and others hanging out with the 7-year-old, and judging by his smile, the kid looks like he’s having a blast. There’s another photo that the kid took with Grasmanis, Andy Reid, and Travis Kelce too. The Chiefs TE is holding the boy in his arms as they both look like they are trying to impersonate the YouTuber Sketch’s pose.
But if you think that this interaction is wholesome, wait till you read about what Mahomes did for the children who are facing some unsurmountable adversities in their lives.

They’re not just little fans, they’re cancer survivors. What’s better than helping out kids who have been fighting for their lives, not being able to live a normal childhood like the rest of the kids. So, to inject some normalcy in those kids’ lives once again, the Mahomes family donated a play area to the Children’s Mercy Hospital and one of the kids who beat cancer, Brooke, couldn’t have been more chuffed about it.
The support starts locally and the Mahomes unit is making sure that they do their part. Children’s Mercy Hospital gave the credit where it was due and posted on social media, “Thankful that the Mahomes family donated this to the hospital,” and that “Brooke loves the play area.” It’s not often that you get to do community service, so you have to make the best out of that opportunity. Surely, Mahomes and Co. did the same.
But this isn’t something new coming from the philanthropic Mahomes family because before the last season began, the QB and his wife made a hefty $1.6 million donation that would go to kids who are battling for their lives due to some reason or the other. The act got Mahomes nominated for Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Though he didn’t win, but it’s the gesture that counts.
