A source spoke to People about the “very happy” couple’s last days together before Kelce’s preseason started.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially long distance again until late August when Swift has a tour break starting August 21. Kelce is at training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs, while Swift is finishing up the European leg of her Eras Tour.
The couple is going into this time apart in a very strong position though, a source told People today. “It’s definitely tough to be apart but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other,” the source said. “They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”
Kelce attended two out of Swift’s three Gelsenkirchen concerts last week. He and Swift really made the most of the quality time together, the source revealed: “Travis’ last few concerts were bittersweet. They knew their time together like this was coming to an end, and he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor.”
Now, Kelce is focused again on football. A source told People on July 2 that Kelce works hard to balance Swift and the Chiefs. “Football is definitely still his priority, but so is his relationship,” that insider said. “He makes romantic gestures to show he’s thinking of her when they’re apart. She’s going to try to attend as many games as possible.”
Us Weekly echoed People’s report in its own story published at the end of June. A source revealed to the outlet that Swift plans to spend her late summer tour break with Kelce in Kansas City, Missouri. “Taylor’s been having fun decorating his Kansas City [place], and she’s looking forward to the simple joys of being together,” that source said.
