After a stellar three seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs, Green Bay Packers rookie defensive back Javon Bullard has earned a spot on Chad Reuter’s preseason all-rookie team as the 2024 NFL season swiftly approaches.
Bullard, a 5-foot-10, 198-pounder out of Milledgeville, Georgia, was selected in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Packers with the 58th overall selection.
Bullard was a member of the Bulldogs’ 2021 signing class as a three-star recruit who ranked as the No. 82 cornerback and No. 70 prospect in the state, according to 247Sports’ 2021 Recruit Rankings.
He went on to have a fantastic career with the Bulldogs, winning two national championships and earning defensive MVP in both of Georgia’s 2023 College Football Playoff games.
“Bullard can make plays on the ball and secure open-field tackles whether he’s lined up deep or inside the box, which makes him a great complement to free-agent addition Xavier McKinney,” Chad Reuter said in his assessment of Bullard.
Bullard should bring versatility to the Green Bay secondary and have a high likelihood of starting as a rookie this fall.
Bullard was one of eight Georgia Bulldogs players chosen in the 2024 NFL Draft, tied with the Penn State Nittany Lions and Oregon Ducks for fourth-most selections by a single program this year.
He’s poised to make a big impact as a rookie with the Packers looking to regain control of the NFC North under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley.
