After an impressive college career, Caitlin Clark is taking her talents to the WNBA. On Monday night, the Indiana Fever selected her with the first overall pick
Following the exciting night, the details of her rookie contract were released. Many people were shocked and upset over how little she is set to make, including Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson and Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid.
Clark’s four-year rookie deal is for a total of $338,056. She will make $76,535 in 2024, $78,066 in 2025, $85,873 in 2026, and $97,582 in 2027.
“These ladies deserve so much more… Praying for the day 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾,” Wilson wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Chiefs safety had similar sentiments.
“This is unbelievable. CC has made Iowa and everyone else around her millions & surely do the same in the WNBA and will see none of it… Robbery,” Reid said.
