On Aug. 20, Taylor Swift will leave the stage at Wembley Stadium in London and get a well-deserved break.
That day will be the last European concert in Swift’s Eras Tour, and she won’t play another show until Oct. 18 in Miami. What will Swift do during those two months away from the concert stage?
All signs point to her joining boyfriend Travis Kelce, who is back at work with the Chiefs. After the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII, Kelce and Swift spent time in her Los Angeles mansion.
But now Kelce is with the Chiefs, and when Swift leaves Europe she could be headed straight to Kansas City.
Us Magazine quoted a source who said “she plans on staying at Travis’ home in Kansas City while he plays in the NFL season.”
Kelce bought a mansion in Leawood last year, and Swift apparently is already putting her touches on the place.
This is from Us:
“Taylor’s been having fun decorating his Kansas City (home),” says the second source, “and she’s looking forward to the simple joys of being together.”
Cosmopolitan magazine said the two did some “home and decor shopping” in Europe.
“They love going antique shopping and she’s been helping him pick out some things for his new house in Kansas,” the magazine reported.
While that all may seem like speculation about Swift’s plans, a good indication that Swift will indeed be in Kansas City can be found on the Facebook page of Ed Kelce, the father of Travis Kelce.
Dear ol’ dad shared that story about Swift’s plan to come to Kansas City.
Swift, who also has homes in New York, Nashville and other places, may not spend all of her break in Kansas City. But any significant time here would be huge news given her fame.
We know Swift has visited a few spots around town with Kelce, including Piropos in Briarcliff Village and Rye in Leawood. It seems unlikely that she would pop into, say, Trader Joe’s or Hen House, but wouldn’t it be wild to see Swift in line at Joe’s Kansas City?
That probably won’t happen, but it will be a big deal when Swift settles down (for a while at least) in Kansas City. And that seems to be what’s going to happen later this month.
One place we know Swift will be seen after she arrives in the City of Fountains: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs open the 2024 season on Sept. 5 in the NFL Kickoff Game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Fans of Swift and Kelce also are buzzing about the possibility of the couple becoming engaged. That’s been rumored for about nine months, but should it happen, Swifties will pour over every detail of how the question was popped and where. That could put even more eyes on KC.
