Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are well aware of the effect Swifties have had on the success of their “New Heights” podcast.
During the Cannes Lions festival on Thursday, the NFL siblings spoke about how their connection to Taylor Swift has brought in a whole new set of fans.
Swift’s boyfriend specifically addressed how many of their new listeners were football neophytes.
“We do have a lot of new football fans coming in,” the Super Bowl champ, 34, shared. “So not just talking football like we would in the locker room, trying to, like, necessarily dumb it down or make it more simple so that everybody can follow along and still enjoy the show.”
Jason, 36, added that he loves that the podcast is getting more girls “to get involved in a sport where previously there wasn’t much interest,” while also bringing dads and daughters together.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles player – who shares three daughters, Wyatt, Elliotte and Bennett, with his wife, Kylie – gushed that their podcast allows worlds to “collide, which is awesome.”
Travis acknowledged that, despite their new demographics, they have been listening to what all viewers want in an attempt to keep their loyal listeners engaged.
“You gotta listen to your viewers and you have to listen to the comments,” he shared, “and your demographic and to see, you know, who you’re talking to, right?”
As previously reported, the “New Heights” podcast has skyrocketed in popularity ever since the Kansas City Chiefs tight end went public with Swift, 34, in September 2023 – two months after he expressed an interest in the “Bad Blood” singer on the platform.
